Hi There! I’m Alyssa.

My background is in librarianship and research — fields that trained me to see both the big picture and the fine details. As a librarian, I learned to synthesize complex information, teach others how to navigate it, and collaborate with people from all walks of life. That foundation continues to shape how I edit: I approach every manuscript not only as an editor, but also as a librarian, looking at the big-picture structure and logic; as a writer, looking at clarity and flow; and as an instructor, with clear, practical feedback.

I also bring an accessibility lens to everything I do. As someone with lived experience of disability and neurodivergence, I understand how overwhelming the editing process can feel — and I tailor my approach so it’s collaborative, encouraging, and accessible to you.

For me, editing is not just about fixing sentences. It iss about helping writers express their ideas with confidence, polish, and precision. Whether you are working on a dissertation, an academic paper, or a professional report, my goal is the same: to support you in creating writing that communicates your ideas clearly and powerfully.
